01 - Metal Stitching Technology - Level 1 Foundation (MST-L1)

Who should attend:
Practitioners, technicians, engineers, specialists, and managers in the maintenance, repairs, and overhaul sectors.

Introduction:
This is a Level 1 foundation training course.

In this course, you will acquire the following knowledge as follows:
- Learn the methodology, process, products, application, and support to build your Metal Stitching Technology knowledge for cast iron crack and fractured repair.
- Learn to perform visual inspection, gather required information, specific measurement, evaluations, record results, and generating of inspection reports.
- Learn various metal stitching installation methods for metal interlocking pins, sealings pins, reinforcement pins, stacked locks, full-bodied locks, and thread replacement inserts and plugs.
- Learn various metal stitching repair methods. Use of metal interlocking pins with stacked locks, stacked or full-bodied locks with sealing pins, reinforcement pins with sealing pins.
- Learn to carry out the specific repair process applications as required.
- Learn to receive specific instruction or supervision from MST Level 2 or 3 personnel.

This is also a pre-requisite course to help the participant to prepare for the Metal Stitching Technology Certified Practitioner or Metal Stitching Technology Certified Technician exam.

Application Method : 16 hours
Total Duration : 40 hours

Upon completion of the course:
- The participant will be issued a certificate of completion (Metal Stitching Technology – Level 1 Foundation)
- The participant will be issued with a MST Certified Associate (MST-CA) digital badge.
- The participant will have access to our member portal for the purchase of our MST cast iron repair products.
- The participant will be able to apply for the MST Certified Practitioner (MST-CPRA) or MST Certified Technician (MST-CTEC) exam.
