What is Metal Stitching?

Writer's picture: Woncho Pte LtdWoncho Pte Ltd

Metal stitching is an industrial technique for repairing cracked and broken cast iron, steel, bronze, stainless, aluminum, or hardened steel structures and their components. The process is carried out cold, without welding. It allows the repair of cast iron and cast steel, often in-situ, without the distortion from welding, and can be used in other situations where heat cannot be used to achieve a repair.

Over the years alternative variations of the metal stitching processes were developed, various terms like Metal Stitch, Metal Stitch Locking, Metal Interlocking, and Metal Locking,

We at Woncho Pte Ltd, design and manufacture our own range of tooling and consumables, various sizes and materials for locks, reinforcement pins, stitching pins, sealing pins, high-temperature resistant pins, and thread replacement inserts. We have developed various written procedures for the repair and restoration techniques and processes for cracks and/or fractured parts back to their original condition.
